We are dedicated to going beyond building as provided in the architectural plans. The Fairfield team is invested in finding methods and products to improve the quality of all our builds by offering sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives to make each build last for many years with less impact on our environment.
But the boys alone could not build these incredible houses by themselves. Only with the support of their whānau and by working closely together with our clients, architects and subcontractors, we can deliver an outstanding product and make the building experience one to enjoy.
We take pride in all our projects, ranging from high-end residential builds, renovations and light commercial work. We are big enough to get the job done but small enough to care.

Katja & Mark Thompson
Mark and Katja are at the heart of the company. Mark took over the company from his father John and is now working alongside Katja as the managing director of Fairfield.
You can find Mark in the office, meeting with architects and subcontractors, or working with the boys on-site. Mark has a wealth of knowledge and a passion for building energy-efficient and passive houses.
Katja runs the back end of the company and does so with great precision. She is the driver for the companies sustainable attitude to help protect our environment and keep the teams recycling on-site in line.

Hayley joined Fairfield in 2023 as our architectural designer.
Armed with a Diploma in Architectural Design and over 5 years of experience, her drive to push boundaries and endless creativity, she brings both knowledge and passion to her role.
Hayley is dedicated to deliver exceptional architectural solutions, and finds immense fulfilment in transforming clients’ visions into realities.
Working closely with our onsite construction team, Hayley ensures that every project is executed to perfection, resulting in innovative and functional spaces that exceed expectations.
