We collaborate with a surveyor to acquire a topographical survey of your site, which serves as the basis for accurate modeling in our software.

Furthermore, we collaborate with you to engage any additional professional expertise required to support your site’s location, topography and history. This could include iwi, Heritage New Zealand or Geotechnical Engineers.

After gaining comprehensive insights into the site, regulations, limitations, and your design brief, we test our ideas against the project vision to develop a visual response.

We then offer you a variety of concept designs for review and feedback, presented through sketches, plans, and 3D renderings of the space.

We use your feedback from the Concept Design stage to refine the project brief and evolve the design options into tailored solutions.

We capture the essence of the concept in one package of architectural drawings including floor plans, sections, elevations and an outline specification.

This comprehensive package serves as a foundation for engaging external consultants and obtaining initial cost estimates.

We work closely with you to develop indicative costs based on the detailed information available about your project. At the end of this stage, a Quantity Surveyor can establish an Elemental Estimate of Cost.

If a Resource Consent is necessary, this is the ideal stage in the project for us to manage the process efficiently.

With all components of the Preliminary Design secured, we now finalise the main design decisions, including dimensions, structural elements, materials, finishes - establishing the overall look and feel, internally and externally.

During the Developed Design phase, specifications are defined and any remaining budget considerations are addressed.

Here, we delve into the ambiance and functionality of interior spaces to ensure the architectural concept seamlessly extends from the exterior to the interior.

We explore materials, fittings, fixtures and systems and show you exactly what the building will feel like to inhabit.

This key stage presents the final opportunity to refine the essence of the project before documentation commences.

In the Detailed Design phase, we document the building for both Building Consent & Compliance and for construction purposes.

We advance your design to the level of detail that enables a construction contractor to assess the full scope of the project. This involves specifying construction details, materials, components, systems, and finishes.

Throughout this stage, we closely collaborate with any external consultants to perfect the fine detailing and ensure that all necessary information is captured for the consent and construction of your home.

Throughout the Procurement phase we collaborate with you to decide how you want to build and with whom.

If you decide to build with us, this phase will be smooth sailing as we already have an in-depth understanding of your project needs and details.

If you already know and trust another building team, or would like to seek a contractor through a tender process, we will help you to ensure a smooth and successful project.

Upon your decision, we prepare the necessary contractual documentation, co construction can begin promptly and efficiently.
