Building a Passive House
Passive House
Fairfield Construction is Marlborough’s leading company in building Passive Houses, the world’s leading standard in energy efficient construction.
Passive House design focuses on making the best use of sunshine, shading, and ventilation- rather than active heating and cooling systems such as air conditioning and centralised heating.
Combined with high levels of insulation, airtightness and thermally efficient windows enables a passive home to use approximately 90% less energy than a typical home.
Fairfield Construction has completed multiple projects that are certified to Passive House standards. The knowledge gained in conjunction with the completion of the Passive House Tradesmen course ensures that we are able to give professional advice and understand the importance of the critical details to achieve the most energy-efficient home possible.
